Construction of new extensions and internal refurbishment
Demolition and Covered Play Area
The existing boys and girls toilets and two lean-to canopies were demolished to facilitate the construction of a new extension. This extension provides a covered external play area linked to the main building by a break-out space.
Multi-Purpose Hall and Bio Roof Terrace
Above the break-out space, on Level 1, a multi-purpose hall was constructed. Level 2 features a Bio Roof Terrace, offering an outdoor space.
Natural Light Integration
Natural light permeates the break-out space through all levels via a lightwell that extends up to the roof terrace.
Eastern Stairwell Extension
A new extension adjacent to the eastern stairwell provides boys and girls toilet facilities at ground floor level with direct playground access. Resource rooms are located at Levels 0.5 and 2, and additional boys and girls toilets are on Level 1.5, all accessible from the existing stair landing.
Kitchen Area Modifications
Adjacent to the existing kitchens, a section of the building was demolished and rebuilt to accommodate a new platform lift servicing all three levels. This area includes a kitchen office, changing room and toilet on Level 0, hall storage on Level 1, and a roof terrace and store on Level 2.
Nursery and Administration Area Changes
The existing Nursery toilets were demolished and rebuilt with new internal and external store rooms. The former head teacher’s office in the administration area was removed and refurbished, with the head teacher’s office relocated to a former store room on Level 1.
