Construction of new extensions and internal refurbishment
Demolition & New Structure
An existing external playground shelter was demolished and a new detached Science Laboratory was constructed.
Building Footprint & Materials
The new building has an external footprint of approximately 85m² and features reinforced concrete foundations, insulated timber-framed walls clad with larch timber, aluminium doors and windows and an insulated timber-framed roof covered with GRP.
Science Laboratory Fit-Out
The Science Laboratory was equipped with toilet facilities, science laboratory equipment and a small kitchen area.
Boundary Wall Support
Structural scaffold support was provided to a leaning boundary wall to ensure safe remedial work.
Boundary Wall Reconstruction
The upper section of the brick wall was carefully removed, new concrete pads with re-bar were installed for the foundations and the wall and piers were rebuilt with Helifix ties for added support.
Fencing & Repairs
Larch fencing and cappings were installed along the boundary wall and various areas of cracked brickwork were re-pointed and repaired.
