Internal Refurbishment Including M&E, Fire Alarm And IT Upgrade

Extensive Interior Refurbishment

This project encompassed a significant refresh of the building’s interior, including redecorating classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas, along with renewing various floor coverings.

Structural and Accessibility Enhancements

Key structural improvements were made, such as constructing new toilet facilities, fireproofing existing columns and beams and widening door openings to upgrade the building’s means of escape.

Door and Window Overhauls

Existing sash windows were overhauled and repaired, as were internal doors, with the addition of vision panels to office doors and renewal of some riser cupboard doors to enhance both function and safety.

Modernized Heating and Ventilation Systems

The building’s core mechanical systems saw significant upgrades, including the renewal of boilers and water heaters, extension of the central heating and enhanced ventilation for existing and new toilet facilities.

Comprehensive Electrical and IT Infrastructure Upgrade

A complete overhaul of the electrical system included new installations for the 4th-floor kitchen, lighting renewal with reconfigured switching, and a full upgrade to the data network with new Cat6 cabling, Wi-Fi and fiber optics.

Enhanced Safety and Security Systems

Critical safety and security measures were improved with the installation of a new fire detection and alarm system and alterations to the existing door access control system.
