Construction of A new entrance extension and office at the main South Building
Foundations
Piled foundations with a reinforced concrete ring beam / ground floor structure were installed.
Steel Frame
A structural steel framework was erected to provide the main support for the new construction.
External Walls
Timber-framed external walls were insulated and cladded with larch.
Roof with Felt Padding
A timber-framed flat roof was insulated and covered with a 3-layer high-performance felt.
Aluminium Glazing
Double-glazed aluminium entrance doors and windows were installed.
Internal Layout
Internal partitions, including a new reception counter and glazed screen were constructed.
