Refurbishment of Former Premises Managers House

Project Overview

The vacant former premises manager’s house on the North Site was fully refurbished to create general accommodation and offices for the school’s use.

Building Envelope Enhancements

Significant improvements were made to the building’s exterior, including roof repairs, new gutters and downpipes, and the installation of a StoTherm Classic K external insulation/render system, alongside new external doors and windows.

Interior Modernization

The interior underwent a complete transformation, featuring new internal doors, replastered walls, new floor finishes, plasterboard ceilings, and updated kitchen and sanitary fittings.

Finishing Touches and Aesthetics

The project concluded with comprehensive internal and external redecoration, plus the addition of a new external canopy and brise soleil for enhanced functionality and appeal.

Extensive External Works

The surrounding outdoor space was revitalized with new landscaping, including paving, soft play areas, a grassed section, external planting, and new fences and gates, plus artificial grass in an adjacent school area.

System Upgrades

Critical new electrical and mechanical installations were implemented, encompassing modern fire and intruder alarm systems for improved safety and efficiency.
