Site Preparation and Access Control within the Great Hall
The project commenced with the essential step of attending the significant Great Hall and carefully implementing barrier measures to establish a secure and well-defined working zone.
Installation of Protective Covering for Glazed Areas
To ensure the preservation of delicate glazing elements, 18mm plywood sheets were precisely laid onto the glazing bars, with a designated quantity allocated for each project phase.
Multi-Method Approach to High-Level Decoration
The complex decorative work was expertly carried out by a team utilizing both traditional scaffolding structures and specialized abseiling techniques to access all required surfaces.
Thorough Preparation of Metal Components
All metalwork underwent a comprehensive surface preparation process, involving the removal of any unsound paint to ensure proper adhesion of the subsequent protective layers.
Specialized Abseil Team for Structural Reinforcement
A dedicated abseil team with welding expertise was engaged to address specific structural requirements, with the precise scope of their work informed by a detailed aerial survey.
Application of a Comprehensive Protective Coating System
Adhering strictly to the manufacturer’s guidelines, a full specification coating system was applied, including a two-part primer in Aluminium, followed by a durable topcoat in Dark Aluminium for long-term protection and the desired finish.
