Brief Description of the Project:

 The works comprised the demolition of an existing external playground shelter and the construction of a detached shelter and the construction of a detached Science Laboratory at Eleanor Palmer Primary School, complete with toilet facilities and some external landscaping. 

The external footprint of the building is approximately 85m.. 

The building is constructed of reinforced concrete foundations with external insulated timber framed walls clad with larch timber cladding externally, aluminium external doors and windows and an insulated timber framed roofs, covered with GRP externally. 

The Science Laboratory is fitted out with toilet facilities, together with science laboratory equipment and a small kitchen. 

Boundary Wall Works
Provided structural scaffold support to leaning wall to safely facilitate remedial works. Carefully removed upper section of brick wall down to creasing course above Macolloy bars. Excavated below existing wall foundations and provided Kentledge mass concrete pads with re-bar to tie into new foundations. Back filled excavations and prepared for slab. Rebuilt wall and piers including Helifix ties to provide additional support to partially re-built section of wall along Raverly Street. Provided Larch fencing and cappings. Re-pointed and repaired various areas of cracked brick work locally.
